PROJECT TITLE: City of Marion

IDEA: Create logo concept for City of Marion, IA where I grew up

CONCEPT: I had a few ideas when thinking about the concept, I wanted to take a couple things that made Marion different. Being a traveler I think I’ve come across a Marion in almost every state. So I started with the tagline “Uniquely Different”. There might be many Marion’s but this one is unique. The many colors represent Marion’s community commitment to the arts and the hidden 1 represents Marion being the 1st  first county seat of the newly organized Linn County in 1839.

So I wanted to logo to be fun, colorful and say something about the town I grew up in.
